Privacy policy

Pictrelle is a free client-side image utility. At launch, the site does not ask for accounts, contact details, or payments.
Image processing
Images selected for resizing are processed locally inside your browser using its image decoding and canvas features. They are not sent to a Pictrelle server. Downloaded images are saved through your browser to your own device.
Analytics, advertising and cookies
The site uses optional Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand visits, traffic sources and whether tools are useful. GA4 loads only after you select “Allow analytics” in the site’s preference panel. Declining does not load the Google analytics tag. With your consent, GA4 may set analytics cookies and receive standard technical information (such as page paths, approximate location, browser and referral source) plus limited events: tool selection, first tool use per page view, and image download initiation or export errors. We do not send image contents, filenames, entered pixel values or form values as analytics events. We strip query parameters from manually reported page URLs. You can reopen “Analytics choices” in the page footer and withdraw consent. Consent preferences are stored locally in your browser. Google processes collected data under its own privacy terms. The hosting provider may separately process routine technical request data, such as IP addresses and request metadata, to deliver the website and protect its infrastructure.

If this site later links to third-party services, their privacy practices will apply when you visit them. Any future advertising, affiliate links or analytics integrations should be disclosed here before they are enabled.
Policy changes
This policy will be updated if the website's data handling or commercial integrations change. Return to this page for the current published version.
