Know your image ratio
An aspect ratio describes width relative to height. A 1920 × 1080 image reduces to 16:9, the familiar widescreen shape. Enter any two positive dimensions to see the simplified ratio.
An image resizer, aspect ratio calculator, and print-size guide. Three precise tools. One considered workspace. Nothing to install.
Work with dimensions, not guesswork. Pick a tool, enter your values, and get straight to the result.
Turn width and height into a clean, simplified ratio.

The quality slider affects JPEG and WebP; PNG export is lossless. Padding uses the chosen background color.
Check your image's maximum print size at a chosen resolution.
Based on image pixel dimensions; actual print results vary by printer, viewing distance and image quality.
Tip: 300 PPI is a common target for sharp close-viewed prints, not a universal requirement.
Each tool page provides a live calculator, examples, step-by-step instructions and answers to common questions.

Choose exact output dimensions. Keep the full image with padding, crop from its center to fill a frame, or stretch when distortion is acceptable. Save as PNG, JPEG or WebP.
Print size in inches equals pixel dimensions divided by PPI. A 3000-pixel-wide photo at 300 PPI can print 10 inches wide. Larger prints can work at lower PPI when viewed farther away.
| Use case | Dimensions | Aspect ratio |
|---|---|---|
| Square social image | 1080 × 1080 | 1:1 |
| Portrait social post | 1080 × 1350 | 4:5 |
| Vertical story / short video | 1080 × 1920 | 9:16 |
| HD video / thumbnail | 1280 × 720 | 16:9 |
| Standard DSLR photo | 6000 × 4000 | 3:2 |

Enter its width and height in pixels. Divide both dimensions by their greatest common divisor (GCD). For example, 1080 × 1920 reduces to 9:16.
Reducing dimensions discards pixels. Enlarging dimensions requires adding estimated pixels and cannot recreate missing detail. JPEG and WebP compression may also reduce visible detail.
No. The image resizer uses your browser's built-in image and canvas APIs. Your selected image stays on your device during processing.
PPI measures image pixel density at a print size. DPI measures how a printer places ink or toner dots. They are related in printing, but they are not the same measurement.
Yes. Keep “Lock aspect ratio” selected. To fit a specific target frame without distortion, use the Fit or Fill options rather than Stretch.
