About Pictrelle
Pictrelle provides simple, free tools for creators, photographers, designers, and anyone working with image dimensions. Our goal is to make practical image tasks fast and easy to understand.
The first release combines three practical features: an image aspect ratio calculator, a browser-based image resizer, and a pixel-to-print-size calculator. No account is required, and selected images are processed on your device.
Our approach
Tools should be quick to open, easy to understand and transparent about how calculations work. We aim to make common image tasks less frustrating, without unnecessary signups or complicated software.
How the calculations work
Aspect ratios are reduced using the greatest common divisor. Print dimensions are calculated by dividing image pixels by the requested pixels per inch (PPI). Resizing uses browser canvas rendering, and the actual quality depends on your source image and export settings.
